There is a cadet ensemble for beginning string players, a concert orchestra for intermediate students and a symphonic orchestra for the more advanced.  Students attend orchestra class daily, perform at three evening concerts, and participate in two judged events (one locally, one out-of-town).  There are also opportunities for members to perform individually and in ensembles.  Students are expected to practice daily.

New students audition for placement in an orchestra.  Cadet and concert students may audition at the end of the second quarter for movement to a higher orchestra.

During the 2008-9 school year, 73 students are enrolled in orchestra.
